Psychotherapy

Individual Psychotherapy (50 minutes)

Individual psychotherapy can look and feel different for each individual depending on the reason they are seeking help for their mental health. I work from a person-centred and relational approach utilising empirically supported psychotherapies to help children, adolescents, and adults process their experiences, understand and find meaning in their emotions, and to find a path forward for the future. Sessions can occur in-person or virtually over a secure telehealth platform.

Family Psychotherapy (50 minutes)

Sometimes the difficulties experienced by a child are not always an indication of a mental illness. Families are complex “systems” that impact each and every member in different ways. If there is stress in a family dynamic, the wellbeing of a child or adolescent may be negatively impacted. Family psychotherapy can help shift some of those systemic challenges to help improve communication, connection, and overall family functioning. Sessions occur in-person.

Parent/Caregiver Coaching (50 minutes)

Parent/caregiver coaching can be helpful when it feels like you don’t know what else to do to support your child or adolescent. There is no guidebook for parenting, and sometimes we are pushed to the edge. I take a solution-focused approach to coaching in order to strategise and teach skills to parents for these extraordinary situations. Homework is provided in order to help parents/caregivers generalise their skills outside of the therapy office. Sessions can occur in-person or virtually.

Please note: I am no longer accepting new clients for psychotherapy for the foreseeable future.
